What is Sage 200? – Sage 200 is an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system that combines important parts of your business activities together such as a Nominal or General Ledger, Sales and Purchase Ledgers and your bank accounts which can be automated to provide electronic bank payments, bank reconciliation and bank feeds.

Sage 200 will also provide a fully featured, multiple location, stock control system with an ability to create sales orders and process these orders through different stages such as picking, despatch and generating sales invoices.

The system will also be able to replenish your stock by using a purchase order processing system. This can automatically create purchase orders based upon your current stock levels and a set minimum stock level or re-order level for example.

The ability to hold customer specific selling prices or discounts against specific stock items or stock product groups is another powerful function that is part of Sage 200.

Contact or Job Costing requirements are met by the Project Accounting module that integrates purchase orders, purchase invoices, stock issues, time sheets, expenses, sales quotations and sales orders to specific contracts / jobs.

A sophisticated Bill of Materials module adds the ability to control your manufacturing process and will inform you if you have enough components in stock to build your finished products. It will also provide accurate costings, subassemblies and the use of serial / batch number tracking.

As you would expect, powerful screen enquiries and reporting are provided as standard in Sage 200 including the Sage Report Designer which allows you to create your own reports and stationery layouts.

Of course, no ERP system is complete without a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and the webSage 200 for Production Management browser-based Sage CRM system can be added to Sage 200 and integrated so that creating new customer accounts, sales quotations and sales orders needs to be only performed once in CRM and will then be posted to Sage 200 automatically.

You have a choice to have your Sage 200 system hosted in the cloud or based on your own infrastructure / servers, this flexibility and the use of Microsoft SQL as the Sage 200 underlying database structure, makes for a powerful, quick and robust ERP solution.

Many 3rd party add-on modules are also available for Sage 200, such as bar-coding solutions, business intelligence software, document management and capture systems, credit control software and many others.
